What to expect when you travel to Vietnam?
One of the things that surprised me the most was the number of smiles I saw. Such a sad past, but an encouraging present and future, combined with great respect for everything and everyone.
There is an obvious Chinese influence, because this peninsula was part of the Empire for years, which can be seen in their customs, music, crafts, architecture and food.
THE TRAVEL EXPERT ‘WINTER WONDERLAND’
Hay algo mágico e indescriptible en los paisajes cubiertos de nieve y en los distintos matices del blanco. Esos cielos azulados contrastados con las filas de pinos en la montaña, esos amaneceres calmados y esas tardes junto a la chimenea con un vinito.
Desde que éramos pequeños y veíamos películas navideñas con nieve había una ilusión de visitar estos lugares lejanos con lagos congelados, cabañas acogedoras, recorridos en tren e incluso auroras boreales.
Aquí te contamos cuáles son nuestros 5 lugares preferidos para disfrutar de esta maravillosa estación, desde Las Dolomitas en Italia hasta Nikeso en Japón, el paraíso del snowboard. Empezamos por la Antártida, ¿te parece?

LA RUTA DEL DESIERTO: MARRUECOS
Mucho lo hicimos por tierra. Existen trenes pero es preferible traslados privados porque la diferencia de comodidad es abismal. Lo usual es empezar en Marrakech, y desde ahi toca elegir, a menos que tengas unos 15-20 días para viajar y puedas hacer varias rutas en una. Si es la primera vez que visitas Marruecos sugiero dedicarle 10-12 dias, y combinar Marrakech, un campamento en el Sahara (los hay mas cercanos, pero la arena naranja/rosada es en el Sahara), Essaouira para refrescar, una pequeña ciudad costera con muchas gaviotas y una medina bastante peculiar, y… FEZ!
MY JOURNEY TO SOUTH AFRICA
When you think of South Africa, what do you imagine? Simple: animals, nature and adventure. Well, this trip opened my horizons as to what this country really means. Yes, there are animals, nature and adventure, but that vision does not encompass everything it has to offer us.
It's like when I ask a foreigner what he knows about Peru (I’m Peruvian by the way), and they say: "Machu Picchu, ceviche and pisco sour."
For me South Africa is color, flavor, magnitude, brightness, intense vegetation, lakes, clear skies, changing landscape, contrasts, union, flowers, art, smiles, infinity, joy, energy, fire, trees, sun. And as Peggylou said: «South Africa is not for the faint of heart». And it is very true.
